Dates and Requirements
In general
K-12 teachers will be trained to use the Technology and Learning
Continuum Model in order to more effectively integrate technology into their
existing learning units and learning activities. Teachers will utilize
computer-related
technologies to provide highly interactive learning environments where
student-learning activities are learner centered. All learning activities, training materials,
and a description of the design process will be made available through the
TeacherResourceBank and accessible to educators statewide.
Requirements
All participating teachers will be required to
- Have access to computers and Internet in their classroom.
- Have sound knowledge of the Internet, computers, and software (minimally at a level of In-Tech training).
- Implement and evaluate integrated learning activities that are developed over
the training period into your classroom.
- Assist us in determining the impact on teaching and learning.
- Attend all training/workshops.
- Complete the design of the learning units and activities.
Each attendee will:
- Attend the 7 days of workshops.
- Redevelop at least one learning unit using the T&LC integration model and
computer-related technologies.
- Implement their learning unit.
- Provide feedback about the implementation and Include a Training Staff Member in the implementation
process by allowing them to observe and videotape the implementation.
TEACHERS COMPLETING ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS RECEIVE A $500 STIPEND
