Prime Time Math- Lost	Math	This is a software program that makes math a real world experience. The videos in this lesson (Yes, videos in Math class!) are informative and could easily be a catalyst for a thematic approach to the lessons at the middle school level. The activities are authentic and apply problem-solving concepts to math. This is a great program for cooperative learning groups and an effective use of this learning concept.
Reading for Meaning	Language Arts/ Reading	This is one of the best software programs I have seen to teach hard concepts for struggling readers to grasp. The format of the program is highly interactive and the fact that the independent work is geared to reading level is a bonus. I would highly recommend this program for higher elementary, middle and lower high school students. An A+ software program in my opinion.

Al Morale’s Game Shop Presenter	Gaming – any subject	This software program is geared for audiences of all ages (K-12 thru professional) with easy, medium and hard categories. It’s a fun TV-style quiz show with a lot of humor. Program is very user-friendly in helping a regular computer user create an interactive multimedia quiz show. Setting up the quiz show is as easy as clicking on various buttons .
WebShop Designer 2000	Web Publishing	For basic web site design, an everyday PC user could use this product. However, you will need to play around with all the buttons (and there are a lot). Include many multimedia products such as JAVA objects, WAV and MIDI files for sound, AVI files for video, and animated GIF files for activity, definitely has a comprehensive graphic and multimedia library.
MS Front Page	Publishing your own website	I have enjoyed working with and playing around in Front Page. I would not consider myself to have much knowledge about all that it is capable of, but I am learning! It appears to be basic and easy to use. I am sure that there are features that I have not yet discovered.
Inspiration	Graphic Organizers	This software program is very useful. We have this program at school and the students really enjoy getting on the computer to create their own organizers, whether it be to study with or to begin the writing process. It surely motivates students to create a design and insert information where it belongs.
Inspiration	Create flow charts in the Diagram view	I have used this program often and always have great results. You can even copy a web created in Inspiration and paste it in a Powerpoint presentation. A free trial can be downloaded from tomsnyder.com
TimeLiner	All	TimeLiner 5.0 can be multimedia adapted. Although multimedia capability is not necessary video and sound can be added. A 45 day trial subscription can be downloaded from tomsnyder.com
PrimeTime	Math	Students really enjoyed this interactive software program. It provides real life situations for learning math and problem solving.
Decisions	Science & Social Studies	We worked through this program in one of my Intech classes at my school. It provided a lot of opportunity for cooperative learning among group members and involved critical thinking and problem solving skills. Everyone in the class enjoyed using the software.
Yamaha Music in Education	Music Education/ Piano keyboard	Although this program is expensive, it include much more than just the software.
Essentials of Music Theory	Music Theory	Each lesson includes narration, animated examples and cliclable elements for aural reinforcement. Randomized questions provide reinforcement of material without duplicating its sequence. Examples with real instruments can be replayed to help students hear what they are learning. Flexible testing options allow for precise isolation of problem areas.
Tesselation Exploration	Math	This program is wonderful and I highly recommend it for teachers who teach tessellations every year. It is expensive and I do not feel the cost is justifiable to purchase this program for an occasional use. It would need to be purchased by a math teacher who would use it regularly. It is truly exciting, though!
Smart Draw	All Areas	This is a very wonderful program for organizing thoughts and developing handouts on various subjects. Some of these handouts are already prepared for various subjects. Excellent program! I highly recommend it!
Ulead PhotoImpact 7	Web site design, Imaging editing	I have used this software for a number of years (version 4). I keep coming back to it because it is easy to use and does not require a long learning curve. This software allows me to create fun stuff for the web and provides a vast number of options for enhancing digital photos. The interface is easy to understand.
MASH	Interactive animation	Very easy to use, clear menus guide you step by step. You must have Microsoft Agent software installed on your computer. The software is free, the characters are free. Windows operating systems from ME on have the software pre-installed, but not all characters are installed.
MS Front Page	Web publishing	In an afternoon in my first ever attempt at web page design, I was able to produce a webpage with links to other pages on Front Page. This software is especially good for those who are leery of computers and who want quick results.
WordPerfect 10	Word processing	I spend hours on WordPerfect every day. Indentions, labels and tables are far easier than on Word. The ‘Reveal Codes’ feature is indispensable, and the optional ‘two page’ view makes layout easier.

Glencoe Puzzle Maker and Player	Economics: Vocabulary Building	Program is included with the Teacher’s Edition. I use this program with every chapter to reinforce vocabulary terms. Students get to see the clues and apply them to crossword, word search and word jumble formats. My students love it.
The Magic School Bus in Concert Activity Center	Science/ Music	It is a great resource for the music teacher or classroom teacher who wants to integrate technology into teaching and learning about sounds and instruments. Kids are immediately engaged due to the popularity of the PBS TV show of the same name. The software utilizes the drawing power of games when students begin interacting with the activities. The price is another plus of using the software. It is not out of the reach of the average teachers' "paycheck".
Kidspiration	all areas	Kidspiration builds on visual learning to help kids develop and organize their ideas. Through the software students and teachers can create original pictorial graphs and maps as well as use provided activities in the areas of reading and writing, social studies and science.
JumpStart phonics	Phonics	I bought the software for my 5-year-old girl. She likes it very much and plays it with ease without any help from me. She can complete all the games and sing some songs now all by herself.
