We have partnered with Cisco to implement a videoconferencing system that enables us to communicate with student teachers in remote locations.  We installed a Cisco 5410 multiconferencing unit (MCU) that enables us to support multiple points of presence with continuous presence over IP.  What does that mean?  You can see and hear multiple people from your desktop using a small camera.

Uses of the MCU:

• Connecting faculty with student teachers

• Connecting preservice students with people in the field

• Connecting teachers with faculty, other teachers, and other people
